Garmap has teamed up with mobile navigation application developer Sygic, to announce Garmap for Mobile on iPhone! The app is available for download from the iTunes AppStore and will be compatible with iPhone’s 3G and 3GS. According to Sygic CEO, Michael
Stencl, the Sygic iPhone app shot to the top of the rankings to become the most-wanted navigation solution in Australia and India. Sygic is confident the response in SA will be even better. The partnership will see Garmap making use of Sygic’s navigation platform and augmenting it with Garmap’s very latest geographical data.

Garmap Africa Series 2010 2nd Edition has arrived, and according to Garmap’s Chief Technology Officer, Dr Chris Crozier, the new mapping data will take the Garmin experience to a whole new level. “This is an extremely important year for South Africa and, as a result, the latest version of our map data is one of the most significant updates we’ve made to the Garmap Africa map products,” says Dr Crozier.
