garminDriven by its commitment to make the most up-to-date and accurate mapping data available to users, Garmin Southern Africa is pleased to announce the extension of the nüMaps guarantee policy. This extension offer will be available until 30 October next year for all qualifying Garmin GPS devices that are preloaded with City Navigator Southern Africa maps.

By simply visiting the myGarmin website (www.mygarmin.com) users of qualifying nüvi 2000 series (nüvi 2200, 2300, 2360LT and 2460LT) and 3000 series (nüvi 3760LT and 3790LT) models can now enjoy the added benefit of free map updates for their devices during this extension period. Qualifying devices that have already been registered or updated using the standard nüMaps guarantee will also benefit from this offer.

City Navigator Southern Africa map updates ensure that Garmin users enjoy the best possible navigation experience by providing an unprecedented array of detailed road maps and thousands of points of interest. The map allows Garmin users to navigate with precision, using turn-by-turn directions to addresses or intersections, as well as to restaurants, petrol stations, accommodation institutions, entertainment attractions and more.

“Our research indicates that portable navigation device users are far more satisfied with their systems when map data is up-to-date. Through this fantastic guarantee policy and extension, our customers can truly enjoy the journey with the latest map data on their device,” says Walter Mech, group sales and marketing director at Garmin Southern Africa.

City Navigator Southern Africa map updates are issued up to four times a year, with the latest version (2012.30) having been released in early November 2011. The standard 90-day nüMaps guarantee policy and its associated terms and conditions will once again become effective from 31 October 2012.
