Well it has been a great break over the festive season and I am back and ready for the New Year and the challenges the year will bring. I have done a couple of races over this time and have enjoyed some good results. The main focus over this period has been for me to look back over my last year and then to set new goals and targets for the coming year. :-)

Unfortunately this wrist tendonitis has gotten the best of me, and I have had to cancel the remainder of my races for 2011. It has really given me a big knock, and forced me to rethink my future.Luckily, the bigger the knock, the bigger the comeback! I spent the past week in the beautiful winelands region of the Boland/Swartland area in the Western Cape. I managed to trip the ever-changing Berg River a number of times, and at all different river levels. It was amazing, as the change that occurred after the heavy rains of Wednesday and Thursday changed the river so much that I could hardly recognise where I was.
