adventure"You can't cross the sea merely by standing and staring at the water."

-- Rabindranath Tagore

Your life reflects your decisions: what are yours?

The poet David Whyte asks: what is the courageous conversation I am refusing to have with myself, in my own heart and mind with regard to my work and the present life threshold on which I find myself?

For each of us, there is a courageous conversation waiting to be had.

I believe we each have choice. What stops us living a life of adventure -- inner and outer -- is not making a decision about what we want. ... Or sometimes fooling ourselves with our false needs. Life is meant to be lived.

On retreat you step out of your usual environment and into a world of possibility -- your world gets shaken and stirred and your fears don't stand a chance. Surrounded by nature, in an unfamiliar world, you step into a bigger world that doesn't know the rules you've set up. Hasn't heard that it's not possible for you to live near water, write your book, do a job that you really love with people you like, experience that big adventure where you sleep under the stars being guided by the voice of feeling, make different decisions about your life.

So you find yourself on retreat, fueling that spark of possibility and adventure. You surround yourself with people who are like you -- and when you hear their dreams, they don't sound so far fetched either. You realize just how important it is to be around people who hold your dream, who see you as who you really are, people you become friends with who will not buy into your decisions about why you cannot have the life you want. They will say: tell me again why you cannot do this? with an expression of bewilderment on their faces.

As you start to tell them your story - no money, no time, or something else, there comes a time when what you're saying starts to sound just a little crazy. Perhaps you really are as powerful as the other people see you. You start to wonder with some indignation, just whose life this is? And you start to realize you don't have forever. You realize you can't go back to that land of same old, same old. And you don't even want to. And you start to put one foot in front of the other and before you know it, this thing you had no idea how to make happen, is here.

adventureYou start to hear others saying to you: I wish I could do that. You respond with: you can!

You've stepped over the line into a life of passion, purpose and adventure and you rather like this Self who was here all along, just waiting for permission to step out and go for it.

I'd like to invite you to gather support around you and heed your soul's call to adventure. It's who you're here to be. You are not here to settle and you're definitely not powerless.

So, what's your big adventure?

Kindly follow our adventure and become the change you want to be. Love yourself enough to love the life you can have, love yourself enough to love the water in and around you...Ripples For Good
