convicted1. Adolf Who?
At the Olympic Games in Berlin, Germany 1939, Adolf Hitler promoted his Aryan race policy by stressing how inferior ethnic Africans were. He was therefore slightly annoyed when Jesse Owens, a black American athlete, won four gold medals. The Olympic committee insisted Hitler greet every medalist, but Hitler opted to greet none instead. But it wasn’t Hitler who offended Owens at all. On his return to the USA, Owens said, “Hitler didn't snub me—it was FDR (Franklin D Roosevelt) who snubbed me. The president didn't even send me a telegram!" Owens was never invited to the White House nor bestowed any honours. Only In 1955 (16 years later), did President Dwight D. Eisenhower honour Owens by naming him an "Ambassador of Sports."

2. Sink Hole, In One
We all know the Maldives is sinking, which is why Maldivian developers understand the importance of ‘floating entities’. Enter plans for the world's first floating golf course! Not only will the course be eco-friendly, running on solar power, but the holes will all be connected by a series of submerged tunnels. The 18- watery holes will cost approximately $500 million and will be ready in 2015.convicted

3. Heaven and Earth

Golfer: "I'd move heaven and earth to break 100 on this course."

Caddy: "Try heaven, you've already moved most of the earth.”

4. I’ll Have The Rump
Four men were stranded in a desert.
Suddenly, one man died.
The other three decided that the only way to survive was to eat the dead body.
The first man said, "I support Liverpool, so I'll eat his liver."
The second man said, "I support Manchester, so I'll eat his chest."
The third man said, "I support Arsenal... but I'm not very hungry!"

convicted5. Who Is The Best?
The Greatest Sporting Nation (‘GSN’) website provides a statistical analysis of which country is the best. The site assigns points to a country based on their performance in the Olympics, the World Championships and top tournaments in more than 80 sports.

Based on point, the overall top positions are:
1. United States 5676 points
2. Russia
3. Germany
4. China
5. Canada

But to be fair, points must take into account the number of people per capita from each country. With that said, the new top positions are:
Norway — 3569
Switzerland — 4862
Austria — 5713
Slovenia— 5715
New Zealand — 5786

convicted6. Give us an A-mbulance!
Now classified as one of the most dangerous sports in the world, cheerleading (really!) has become less about pom-poms and more about death defying stunts — and more emergency room visits as a result. In the USA alone three million young people cheer and in the last decade cheering accidents have increased almost six-fold. According to the US Cheerleaders Association, the sport has become very competitive and the degree of difficulty has exploded. There were more than 45,000 accidents in 2010!
