Tech - Gaming & DVD Reviews

million1. Gears of War 3 (Xbox 360) – Score 98%

The first two instalments of this game sold five and six million copies worldwide respectively, and in the first four weeks of the launch of this third instalment, sales reached four million copies already.

2. FIFA 12 (PS3) – Score 98%

Regarded as one of the most successful franchises of all time, FIFA 12 sold more than 2.3 million copies for PS3 in its first two weeks and 1.6 million copies for Xbox. With Christmas around the corner, who knows the heights it will reach.

3. LA Noire (Xbox 360) – Score 96%

With just shy of four million copies sold, this game is on every game of the year list and has received critical acclaim.

4. Tiger Woods 12: Masters Edition (PS3 Move) – Score 96%

With well over a million copies sold worldwide on PlayStation Move and Xbox Kinect, despite Tiger Woods’ waning form and support, this game is a whole new genre in its own right.

5. Fear 3 (PS3) – Score 95%

With only half a million copies sold worldwide, Fear 3 didn’t do screamingly well, but it terrified us at Gtribe because we love a little adrenalin.

6. Resistance 3 (PS3) – Score 93%

Slow sales of only half a million copies of this, the third instalment, don’t bode well for the franchise, which is sad because the game is superb.

million7. Dirt 3 (Xbox 360) – Score 92%

The sales figures of Dirt 3 hit nearly a million copies worldwide, and the game itself received praise from users and critics alike.

8. Dark Souls (Xbox 360) – Score 92%

With just shy of one million copies sold, this new title has done itself proud, and we’re sure when it gets a platinum price reduction, there will be a major boom.

9. Rage (PS3) – Score 91%

With nearly a million copies sold in its first two weeks, Rage looks set to kick ass this year and is destined to become a classic.

10. Dead Space 2 (PS3) – Score 91%

A whopping two million people chose to buy and play this game, which is the reason it made it to our top 10 games of 2011 list.
