Five seconds left, ball in hand, game on the line. You make your move… four seconds left. There is a six foot nine guard blocking your way… three seconds left. The world seems to be moving in slow motion as you turn the defender to shoot… two seconds left. You stand up and take aim. The hoop seems smaller than the ball… one second left! The ball leaves your fingertips. It takes an age to reach the net, the crowd rises, the crowd roars in celebration! Suddenly you are a new basketball legend. 

NBA 2012 has arrived – and wow, what a game! Basketball is one of the few American sports we sort of understand. Although there are a few rules that take getting used to, the premise for the game is simple and easy to grasp.

There is a game mode that allows you to create your own player, build him up through the ranks by training him and then leading him to glory in the NBA play-off title. This game has great replay value, is an awesome multiplayer and has certainly won us over to basketball – one of the fastest growing sports in Africa. (Score 88%)
