worldThere is something beautiful about an asteroid gliding silently through space, stars twinkling in the background. Unless of course it’s on a collision course with Earth. This is the harsh reality that faces you in the opening scenes of Rage.

You’re in preparation for a state of cryostasis (which means what?) in an attempt to save a few people before the cataclysmic event that threatens the entire existence of the human race. When you awaken, the world is a wasteland of dusty roads, destroyed buildings and lifeless landscapes. But, even worse, you are not alone!

You’ll soon realise that not all who survived the asteroid are good, and while the world is in a state of ruin, the people you meet along your journey through the different wastelands have interesting stories to tell. The towns they live in are beautiful and detailed – and they entice you to explore more.

The graphics are world-class, the game-play is gripping, long and addictive, and once you entwine yourself in the world of Rage, it may be days before you leave the couch and join real life again.

To add just one tiny criticism: you have to save the game yourself continuously or risk losing all your progress. But so insignificant is this fault, and overall we loved this epic adventure enough to put it in our top 10 list of games for 2011. (Score 91%)
